Mark Darbon

Mark joined the practice in 1990 and became a director in 2001. Mark has experience of working on a wide range of projects from large-scale urban regeneration projects to medium-scale schemes including the Channel 4 Headquarters in London, the Learning Resource Centre for Thames Valley University in Slough and Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. He was project architect for the Montevetro apartments in Battersea, LIFT White City housing scheme and health centre in London, Ashford Designer Retail Centre in Kent and Tower Bridge House in London. He is currently leading the design of a major headquarters building for BBVA-Bancomer in Mexico City.
Mark’s involvement in significant competition entries such as the Fourth Grace, Liverpool and Silvertown Docks, London has greatly contributed to his expertise in urban regeneration. More recently, he has led masterplanning projects such as Woolston Shipyard in Southampton, Convoy’s Wharf in London and a new masterplan for the station area of Cambridge.
Mark was key to the success of these projects with his highly flexible approach to design, an understanding of the complexities of each site, and a high degree of collaboration with external consultants.
