Richard Paul has a wide ranging international experience as a director with Rogers, Stirk, Harbour + Partners and has managed large teams of architects on majors schemes worldwide.
After the competition for the Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Richard co-led the team that won the competition for the Shanghai Expo 2010 to design a new mixed use urban district.
Richard has a well recognised reputation for outstanding leadership and innovation. He promotes excellence in the design of sustainable architecture which fundamentally underpins the RSHP design philosophy. An example of this can be seen at Chiswick Park which is an energy efficient, low cost, truly sustainable environment which set the benchmark for this building typology throughout the UK and Europe.
More recently Richard championed the design of Tower 3, a 75 storey mixed use office building at the heart of the World Trade Center Redevelopment in New York. He is currently directing the design evolution of Canary Riverside, the new European Headquarter for the Investment Bank JP Morgan consisting of two high rise towers and trading floors.
Richard was previously a board director of Fosters and Partners where he worked on The Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Headquarter in Hong Kong where he also lived for a number of years.
